The National Republican Guard (GNR) arrested a 16-year-old teenager on Wednesday, who had been committing thefts and assaults in the municipality of Almada for several months.
The crimes typically occurred “in the vicinity of educational establishments” and at public transport stops in the localities of Charneca da Caparica and Monte da Caparica.
The investigation had been ongoing for about two months due to multiple complaints, culminating in an arrest warrant and two house search warrants.
During the searches, officers found two replica firearms, a balaclava, a mobile phone, and several pieces of clothing, all of which were seized.
The arrested teenager has been named as a defendant. The case will now be overseen by the Almada Judicial Court.
