According to the public relations officer of the GNR Coimbra Territorial Command, the incident alert was raised by family members shortly after noon.
“We do not yet have data that allows us to understand what happened. The patrol is on-site investigating”, he stated.
Speaking to the Lusa agency, Rui Leitão, the commander of the Tábua Volunteer Firefighters, explained that upon arrival, the young individual was in cardiac arrest and could not be resuscitated.
The scene was attended by eight personnel, supported by four vehicles from the Tábua Volunteer Firefighters, the National Republican Guard (GNR), an immediate life support ambulance (SIV) from Tondela, a medical emergency and resuscitation vehicle (VMER) from Coimbra, and a psychosocial support vehicle from INEM.
