A 25-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, October 30, by the Public Security Police (PSP) in Coimbra after stabbing an 18-year-old male. The individual is suspected of committing serious offenses against physical integrity.
In a statement released Friday, the PSP noted that at 10:00 p.m., they were called to a disturbance at a residence in the Santo António dos Olivais area.
Officers immediately proceeded to the scene.
Upon arrival at the residence, the PSP determined that “the victim, an 18-year-old male, had been assaulted with a kitchen knife, which was seized.”
The 18-year-old was transported to the hospital “to receive medical treatment.”
The suspected assailant was detained and taken to the detention facilities of the District Command until he is brought before the judicial authority.
