A man was injured and transported to the hospital following an “altercation between a group of individuals” in the city center of Porto, this Tuesday.
The Notícias ao Minuto confirmed with the Metropolitan Command of Porto of the Public Security Police (PSP) that the victim sustained minor injuries.
According to a source from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) who spoke with Lusa, the victim is a 25-year-old man who suffered injuries to his right leg caused by a sharp weapon.
The alert was received at 5:32 PM, and the injured person was assisted on Rua Santo Ildefonso before being transported to Santo António Hospital with controlled bleeding, the source added.
A PSP source reported to Lusa that they were alerted to a scuffle at Praça da Batalha between two groups, and upon arrival, pursued them, managing to catch and identify at least some of them at Campo 24 de Agosto.
