According to an official source from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), the alert for the accident was given at 00:10 today.
The accident occurred on EN 222, and when medical assistance arrived at the scene, the young man was in cardiac arrest and his death was confirmed on-site, added the same INEM source, noting that the victim’s family began receiving psychological support.
A Red Cross ambulance and a team with a Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) from Gaia were present at the location.
The body of the young man was transported by Crestuma firefighters to the Institute of Legal Medicine in Porto.
