A 27-year-old man was arrested by the Judiciary Police (PJ) on Tuesday in Lousada, suspect of committing child pornography crimes, reportedly since September 2024, through the use of digital platforms.
In a statement, the PJ indicates that “the sharing of files was carried out from access points in our country and was later determined to be the responsibility of the suspect.”
As a result, and following the “evidence-gathering procedures conducted,” “it was possible to arrest the suspect under arrest warrants and also to detect in his possession several multimedia files” containing “pornographic material involving minors.”
Furthermore, “it was determined that the suspect is part of virtual groups from various countries aimed at the consumption and sharing of content related to the abuse and sexual exploitation of children.”
“The detainee, after being arrested and under the order of the competent judicial authority, was released, subject to the conditions of identity and residence reporting,” the statement reads.
