
A head-on collision between two light vehicles in Condeixa-a-Nova, Coimbra district, left five people injured on Saturday afternoon.
Civil Protection authorities reported that one victim is in serious condition while two others have minor injuries. Two additional individuals declined medical assistance.
According to the Coimbra GNR, the seriously injured victim is a 29-year-old woman who was transported to the Centro Hospitalar da Universidade de Coimbra.
The alert was issued at 4:19 PM regarding a road collision at Rotunda da Barreira, IC2, in the South-North direction. Firefighters from Condeixa-a-Nova, INEM, and GNR were dispatched, with 15 operatives and seven vehicles at the scene.
Currently, the lane where the accident occurred is closed “after Repsol,” according to the GNR, and traffic is being alternated until a tow truck arrives to remove the vehicles.
