31-year-old man arrested for selling drugs near a school in Mafra

A 31-year-old man was arrested on Thursday by the National Republican Guard (GNR) for drug trafficking in the municipality of Mafra. Authorities stated the suspect was caught selling hashish near a school.

In a statement sent to newsrooms, the GNR explained the arrest followed a report alleging drug trafficking activities near an educational establishment.

Following the report, the officers “immediately proceeded to the location” and “identified the suspect.”

The individual was later approached, and it was established that he possessed “controlled substances as well as over 400 euros in cash,” leading to his arrest in flagrante delicto.

In total, the GNR seized 91 doses of hashish and 466.10 euros in cash.

The detainee was considered a suspect and the case was forwarded to the Judicial Court of Mafra.
