A new parking facility has been constructed adjacent to the seminary building and near the main avenue, Carvalho Araújo, in the northeastern city of Trás-os-Montes.
This multi-story parking structure complements the existing underground parking at the municipal square. The municipality stated that its purpose is to support activities at the municipal market and compensate for public parking spaces lost due to works under the Urban Development Strategic Plan (PEDU).
“This infrastructure enhances the available parking options, contributing to improved mobility and convenience for both residents and visitors,” the municipality highlighted today.
The paid parking facility spans five floors, offering 325 parking spaces, and involved an investment of 3.5 million euros by the company holding the 25-year concession for paid parking.
The current concession granted to ESSE — Surface and Underground Parking includes around 800 surface spots, the existing underground parking lots, and the construction of this new facility.
