A motorcycle accident this morning in the municipality of Covilhã, district of Castelo Branco, resulted in one fatality, a source from Civil Protection confirmed to Lusa news agency.
The accident occurred in the parish of Paul at around 11:00 AM, claiming the life of a 46-year-old man, according to a representative from the Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of Beiras and Serra da Estrela.
The source stated that 15 operatives were on the scene, supported by seven vehicles from the Covilhã Volunteer Firefighters, GNR, and INEM.
