
The SNS webpage reported around 18:45 that the gynecology and obstetrics emergency departments closed on Saturday are those at Garcia de Orta Hospital in Almada and Santarém, while the gynecology emergency at Vila Franca de Xira Hospital and the general emergency at the general hospital in Coimbra are also closed.
The situation improves on Sunday, with closures affecting only the gynecology and obstetrics emergency at São Bernardo Hospital in Setúbal and the general emergency at the general hospital in Coimbra.
On Saturday, 127 emergency departments will be open, with one designated reference hospital (Hospital de Braga) and others referred to CODU/INEM, including the hospitals in Faro, São Bernardo (Setúbal), Braga, Vila Franca de Xira, Santarém, São Francisco Xavier (Lisbon), Beatriz Ângelo (Loures), Infante Dom Pedro (Aveiro), and Santo André (Leiria).
According to the same portal, on Sunday 127 emergency departments will also be open nationwide, with one designated reference service (obstetrics and gynecology emergency at Hospital de Braga) and others referred to CODU/INEM at Beatriz Ângelo Hospital in Loures, Manoel Constâncio Hospital in Abrantes, Infante Dom Pedro in Aveiro, and Santo André in Leiria.
