In a concerning incident, a five-year-old child was found alone on Friday morning at the Pinhal Novo train station, as confirmed by the National Republican Guard (GNR). Authorities received the alert at 11:20 a.m. and immediately proceeded to the location, where they found the young boy unattended, with no responsible adult nearby.
GNR officers initiated efforts to locate and reach out to the boy’s family. They eventually succeeded in contacting the mother, to whom they returned the child shortly afterward.
Attempts were made to understand the reasons given by the mother for the boy being alone at the station; however, the GNR stated that the matter “will be investigated.” They assured that the boy was “well” and “unharmed.”
The incident has been reported to the Commission for the Protection of Children and Youth (CPCJ), and a formal report has been filed for the court.
