Música no Coração announced that the concert is part of the “Djavanear 50 years. Só Sucessos” tour, with artistic direction by Gringo Cardia.

On stage, Djavan (vocals, acoustic guitar, and electric guitar) will be accompanied by Felipe Alves (drums), Marcelo Mariano (bass), Torcuato Mariano (guitar and acoustic guitar), Paulo Calasans (piano and keyboard), Renato Fonseca (keyboard), Jessé Sadoc (trumpet and flugelhorn), Marcelo Martins (tenor sax and flute), and Rafael Rocha (trombone).

Tickets will be available for purchase on Sunday, with prices ranging from 30 to 69 euros.

In a 2016 interview, Djavan expressed immense happiness whenever he performed in Portugal, describing it as akin to returning home to relatives and beloved people. “Portugal reflects this in general for Brazilians,” he said.

“It is the fatherland of Brazil, not only because of history but because we come here with the sense of coming to our parents’ home, to the home of those who raised us, who gave us life. Everything here, the smell, the architecture, the vegetation, the people, the reception of our work, it all enchants us, and it all calls us back,” he added.

Reflecting on four decades of music, Djavan asserted that he remains as committed and dedicated as ever.

“What I know is that I have had much fun up to now, I continue to enjoy myself, and I continue with the same fervor as always, which keeps me alive, eager to do things, to keep composing, to perform on stages worldwide, presenting this music. It is my vocation, which I embraced with so much love,” the singer stated at the time.

Djavan, born in Maceió, Alagoas, will turn 77 in January.
