A 52-year-old suspect was arrested in flagrante delicto on Monday, October 6, for the crime of domestic violence against his 33-year-old wife, according to a statement from the GNR.
The arrest by the Braga Territorial Command, through the Braga Territorial Post, followed a report of domestic violence.
The Guardia officers responded to the scene, where it was determined that the suspect was exerting psychological violence against the victim.
On the same day, the detainee appeared before the Braga Judicial Court, where measures were imposed, including a prohibition of contact with the victim and a restriction of approaching within 500 meters, monitored by an electronic bracelet.
