The accident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on the municipal road connecting the village to Moinhos, at a curve just a few hundred meters from the firefighters’ station, according to Commander Fernando Jorge.
The rescue operations were carried out by the Miranda do Corvo Volunteer Firefighters, who immediately provided assistance to the victim. However, the death was pronounced at the scene by a Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER) team.
