A 57-year-old Portuguese citizen, reported missing on Saturday, was found dead the following day in Saranda, Albania.
The body was discovered in an area known as ‘Buka e Vivarit,’ near a lagoon where he was last seen, according to local authorities.
Preliminary investigations suggest drowning as the cause of death, though an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause.
Albanian authorities will continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death.
