A 58-year-old woman was arrested by the National Republican Guard (GNR) on Friday for the illegal possession of firearms in the municipality of Moimenta da Beira.
In a statement released on Saturday, the GNR reported that the arrest occurred as part of an investigation into illegal arms possession.
Following the report, officers conducted police operations resulting in the execution of three search warrants—one residential and two involving vehicles.
The operation led to the suspect’s arrest and the seizure of three pistols, 32 rounds of ammunition, and materials related to the armament.
The detainee was charged, and the case details were submitted to the Moimenta da Beira Judicial Court.
