According to the Sub-regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of the Leiria Region, an alert for a workplace accident in the locality of Arroteia was issued at 15:18.
The incident prompted a response from the Pombal Volunteer Firefighters, the National Institute for Medical Emergency, and the GNR, as stated by the Sub-regional Command.
The GNR further reported that the fatal victim was a 60-year-old man, and the workplace accident in the parish of Redinha resulted from a fall.
