A 67-year-old woman, missing since Wednesday in Montalegre, was found dead today near the Alto Rabagão Dam, according to the GNR.
The police indicated that the Judicial Police (PJ) were called to the scene, and the woman was discovered by search team members who had been looking for her since late Wednesday, the day her daughter reported her disappearance.
The body was found near the Alto Rabagão Dam in the Travassos da Chã area, where she was last seen.
The woman lived in the town of Montalegre, in the Vila Real district; her disappearance was reported by her daughter after she failed to attend a medical appointment.
Search efforts involved GNR military personnel, firefighters from Montalegre, and local citizens.
