A 68-year-old man was shot in the chest during a shooting incident in the center of Nazaré on Friday night, as confirmed by the Leiria District Command of the Public Security Police (PSP).
The same source indicated that the severity of the victim’s injuries is currently unknown, and he has been transported to the Coimbra Hospital and University Center (CHUC).
The gunfire occurred in central Nazaré, and the suspect, a 42-year-old man, was intercepted and detained.
The Judicial Police (PJ) have been called to investigate the case.
