
A 76-year-old man was found dead in the bed of a stream in São Domingos de Rana, within the municipality of Cascais, early Friday afternoon.
The alert was raised by a passerby who spotted the body on Rua Pedro Nunes at 1:43 PM, as confirmed to Notícias ao Minuto by Pedro Araújo, commander of the Parede Volunteer Firefighters.
The official reported that the victim had “multiple fractures” and “active bleeding,” although the cause of death remains unknown.
The death was pronounced at the scene, and the body was removed at 5:05 PM.
In addition to the fire brigade, officers from the Public Security Police (PSP) and the Cascais medical emergency vehicle (VMER) responded to the incident.
The authorities have taken charge of the investigation.
