
The investigation unit announced that eight arrests were made following the execution of 24 search warrants, including 12 at residences, nine in vehicles, two in garages, and one in a warehouse in the municipalities of Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto, Santa Maria da Feira, and Grândola.
The detainees comprise five men aged between 29 and 67 and three women aged between 56 and 59.
A total of 1,499.85 doses of cocaine, 3,220.22 doses of hashish, 98 doses of cannabis, 137 MDMA/ecstasy tablets and crystals, and €192,843 in cash were seized.
Additionally, a rifle with a silencer and telescopic sight, an air pressure rifle, two pistols, 177 rounds of ammunition of various calibers, two boxes of pellets, an inert training grenade, and two fireworks were confiscated.
Six vehicles, 29 mobile phones, seven precision scales, five knives with traces of narcotics, various documents related to trafficking, and items used for cutting, preparing, and packaging narcotics were also seized.
The GNR also confiscated a tablet, two license plates, five locators, electronic equipment designed to interfere and block radio frequency signals (jammers), as well as a safe and a bottle of nitrous oxide.
Following the operation, it was possible to locate a vehicle with false plates that had been stolen in France.
A search of the vehicle uncovered and seized 830 doses of cocaine, a precision scale, and a knife with drug residues.
The detainees were brought before the Judicial Court of Porto, resulting in preventive detention for three suspects, house arrest for another, daily police station check-ins for two, and terms of identity and residence for the remaining two.
