An 80-year-old man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle Sunday night on National Road 101 in the locality of Mazedo, Monção municipality, as reported by the Monção Volunteer Firefighters.
The corporation stated that the alert for a “road accident” was received at 10:40 PM via the Urgent Patient Guidance Center (CODU).
The accident occurred on Avenue of Gandra in Mazedo, and the victim was transported in “serious condition” to a hospital.
On the scene were the Monção Volunteer Firefighters, an Immediate Life Support (SIV) ambulance from Melgaço, and the National Republican Guard, totaling 12 operatives and four vehicles.
