A fatal accident occurred in an agricultural area near a residence in the Leiria region, authorities reported. The alert was received at 5:19 p.m., indicating that a tractor had overturned, trapping the victim underneath.
The Pombal Fire Department confirmed that the deceased was the tractor’s driver.
According to the website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority, 15 personnel and six vehicles were involved in the rescue efforts.
