
In a statement updated at 11:00 today, the National Republican Guard (GNR) announced that six national roads (EN) are closed to traffic.
In the district of Coimbra, the closures include the EN 230, between Quinta da Tapada and Parede; EN236, between the town of Lousã and the locality of Pêra; and the EN342, between Reta do Sol and Mata do Sobral.
In the district of Guarda, road closures affect both directions on the EN102, between Marialva and Longroiva; EN221, between Gouveias and Pinhel; and EN226, near Ponte Abade, Rio de Mel, and Peroferreiro.
The GNR noted that the entire mainland territory is under alert status, and both burning and the use of machinery for rural work are prohibited.
