
A source from the Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Alto Alentejo informed around 3:30 PM that the forest fire had one active front and was being controlled with the involvement of 107 operatives, supported by 33 vehicles and two aerial resources.
The same source noted that at the same time, there were no reports of injuries or homes at risk.
The flames are consuming an area of scrubland and pasture this afternoon, it was reported.
The fire, which broke out at 6:13 PM on Friday, was declared under control at 2:58 AM today, remaining under surveillance, and reignited this afternoon, according to Civil Protection.
