Intermunicipal Community of Coimbra launches tender for SIRESP radios

The tender, announced today in the Diário da República and open for bids over the next two months, involves the purchase of SIRESP radios and satellite communication systems. It is divided into two lots with a completion period of four months.

One lot includes the acquisition of 348 SIRESP radios with a base price of approximately 400,000 euros. The second lot involves acquiring 50 satellite communication systems, with a base price of around 186,000 euros, as stated in the public tender announcement, reviewed by Lusa.

Both the SIRESP radios and the satellite communication systems will be delivered to up to 20 different locations across the 19 municipalities of the CIMRC.

These equipment are intended for the fire brigades in the Coimbra Region.

“This acquisition aims to enhance the Coimbra Region’s communication capabilities in scenarios of major accidents and catastrophes,” explained CIM in one of the documents associated with the tender.

In addition to delivering the equipment, the contractor must also provide training and participate in a drill to test the new communication system.
