In the audio music category, nominees include the first episode of Antena 3’s podcast on Rui Reininho’s 70 years (‘Homem Temporariamente Só’) by Luís Oliveira and Raquel Morão Lopes, and the documentary ‘Raio-X ao Homem dos Mil Dedos’ by Miguel Soares, focusing on Carlos Paredes.
In the video fiction category, the first episode of the series ‘O Americano’ by Ivo M. Ferreira is nominated. It deals with the Cavaco brothers and a group of criminals spreading terror in the Algarve through over twenty bank robberies.
The winners will be announced in October in Berlin.
The Europa Awards were established in 1987 by the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the European Cultural Foundation, and are now recognized as “the most influential pan-European broadcasting festival,” aimed at encouraging “quality broadcasting across a changing continent.”
