
According to the latest monitoring report with data up to August 20, payments amounting to 8.758 billion euros have been made, an increase of 48 million euros from the previous week.
This total payment figure corresponds to 39% of the allocation and the contracted amount, and 38% of that approved.
The largest recipients include companies (3.202 billion euros), public entities (1.829 billion euros), and municipalities and metropolitan areas (1.132 billion euros).
Following are public companies (875 million euros), schools (593 million euros), higher education institutions (353 million euros), and institutions in the solidarity and social economy (290 million euros).
At the bottom of the list are families (262 million euros) and institutions within the scientific and technological system (222 million euros).
Meanwhile, project approvals total 22.486 billion euros, equivalent to 101% of the allocation and contracted amount.
Leading the approvals are companies (6.361 billion euros), public entities (5.156 billion euros), and municipalities and metropolitan areas (4.448 billion euros).
Further notable approvals include public companies (2.930 billion euros) and schools (1.038 billion euros).
Subsequently, higher education institutions have 844 million euros, institutions in the solidarity and social economy receive 734 million euros, institutions within the scientific and technological system are awarded 659 million euros, and families receive the least at 317 million euros.
As of August 20, the PRR received 392,529 applications, out of which 329,678 have been analyzed.
Approved applications have reached 253,191, marking an increase of 691 compared to previously reported figures.
The PRR, with an implementation period until 2026, aims to deploy a set of reforms and investments for the recovery of economic growth.
Besides aiming to repair the damage caused by COVID-19, this plan also intends to support investments and generate employment.
