“In September, the Amarante Cine-Teatro celebrates two years of activity, with a history of over 33,000 spectators and an 80% occupancy rate,” reads the press release issued today.
To celebrate its second anniversary, the Cine-Teatro has prepared a series of concerts from September 18 to 21, opening with the Orquestra do Norte, featuring violinist Pedro Carneiro, to perform Tchaikovsky’s Violin Concerto.
The concert series continues on September 19, with musicians Mário Laginha and Camané presenting “Aqui está-se sossegado,” a blend of traditional fado and original compositions.
On September 20, singer-songwriter Bárbara Tinoco takes the stage at the Cine-Teatro de Amarante.
The concert series concludes on September 21 with the show “SNOB” by Carlos Coutinho Vilhena, inviting the audience to reflect on the pleasure of judging others and the human capacity to lie and manipulate.
Tickets range from five to 16 euros.
