
Today, in a statement, the police announced that as part of Operation Hamster, which focused particularly on Value Added Tax (VAT), 695 vehicles were inspected.
As a result of the operation, 113 administrative offense notices were issued for violations of the Goods in Circulation Regime, three for road traffic legislation, two for mandatory periodic inspection, one for the tobacco tax, and another for the Vehicle Tax (ISV).
Additionally, two kilograms of fine-cut tobacco were seized.
The operation involved 67 military members from the Fiscal Action Detachments of Porto, Coimbra, Lisbon, Évora, and Faro.
