A 71-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempting to kill a 37-year-old neighbor in Miranda do Douro, Bragança district.
The Polícia Judiciária (PJ) stated that the crime took place on a public road in this northern Portuguese locality, following a disagreement between neighbors over a “trivial reason”.
The suspect, armed with a firearm, allegedly fired at the victim “without hitting her”.
Inspectors note that the detainee will now be brought before the judicial authority for a preliminary judicial interrogation to determine appropriate preventive measures.
