The SPAC released a statement today expressing fundamental objections regarding governance, resource prioritization, clarity of responsibilities, and the quality of social dialogue at TAP.
The union’s leadership expressed concern over elements of this decision, particularly “functional overlap and risk of internal conflict” and the use of “external recruitment without a recognized learning curve.” They also noted a “disregard for proven competent staff.”
According to SPAC, this decision, effective from September 1, also highlights “wrong priorities,” with a “reinforced top” but a “lacking base.”
The union also indicated its continued willingness to engage in dialogue, emphasizing its statutory duty to rigorously and openly address all identified problems and inefficiencies.
