In August, Spain’s annual inflation rate is projected to remain steady, holding the same rate as July, following increases in May and June.
This month’s price trends were largely influenced by fuel prices, which declined, although less than in August 2024, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).
The core inflation rate, excluding energy and fresh food items typically subject to volatility, increased by a tenth of a percent in August, reaching 2.4%.
On a month-to-month basis, prices remained unchanged.
