Fuel prices are set to change starting Monday, September 1st.
The Automobile Club of Portugal (ACP) predicted on Friday that diesel will become 0.5 cents more expensive, while gasoline will decrease by 0.5 cents.
Therefore, your refueling decision depends on the type of fuel your vehicle uses. If it runs on diesel, refuel today. Otherwise, wait another day.
If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of simple diesel is expected to increase to 1.550 euros per liter (€/l). The average price of simple 95 gasoline is anticipated to decrease to 1.693 €/l.
These forecasts are based on the assumption that the government’s extraordinary tax reduction measures, implemented to mitigate price increases, will continue. The measures include the reduction of the Petroleum Products Tax (ISP) and compensation for additional VAT revenue.
