
Data released today by the regulator indicates that between January and June, 34 cases concluded with the approval of voluntary fine payment requests, 62 with the imposition of monetary sanctions, eight were archived, 12 were appended to ongoing cases, and one resulted in the suspension of proceedings due to notification impossibility.
The total fines imposed amounted to about 370,000 euros, of which 309,000 euros were monetary sanctions and 60,000 euros were from approved voluntary payment requests.
The fined establishments included several private entities as well as units from the National Health Service.
In the regulation and supervision of health care providers, the ERS is responsible for monitoring, processing, and imposing fines and additional sanctions for violations in areas such as licensing, complaint book maintenance, and advertising practices.
