Jamiroquai, the band behind hits like “Virtual Insanity,” “Space Cowboy,” and “Cosmic Girl,” will perform on July 18 at the festival, as announced by the promoter in a statement released today.
Tickets for this “unique concert in Portugal” will be available from 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, on the official Ageas Cool Jazz website.
“With over 30 years of history and numerous hits, the band brings its unmistakable musical identity to the festival. Inspired by Stevie Wonder, Jamiroquai explored jazz in electronic music, funk, soul, and disco. The result is a successful career filled with hits that have captivated dance floors for decades, featuring songs like ‘Virtual Insanity,’ ‘Cosmic Girl,’ ‘Little L,’ or ‘Seven Days In Sunny June,'” the promoter recalls.
Throughout their career, Jamiroquai has performed several times in Portugal, most recently in 2018 at the Marés Vivas festival in Vila Nova de Gaia.
The Cool Jazz festival returns to the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo and Parque Marechal Carmona between July 1 and 31, 2026.
This year’s edition featured performances by artists and bands such as Benjamin Clementine, Ezra Collective, Tindersticks, Slow J, Seal, Masego, and Gilsons, among others.
Each of the seven nights of Cool Jazz included four performances, spread across three stages, beginning with the Cascais Jazz Sessions, followed by a first part and the headliner, and concluding with the Late Nights.
The Ageas Cool Jazz festival also had a free program, the Cascais Lazy Sundays, which took place on Sundays in July at Jardim da Parada, in front of the venue.
