The main European stock exchanges opened today in positive, yet cautious, territory as the decision from the United States Federal Reserve (Fed) on a likely interest rate cut is anticipated.
The U.S. is poised for the first Fed interest rate cut in nine months, expected to be a quarter of a point.
This European performance follows Wall Street markets, which slightly dipped while also awaiting the Fed’s decision.
