
The fourth edition of the Little Readers’ Festival is taking place under the theme of travel, featuring a series of activities throughout the day, both inside the National Library and in outdoor areas.
According to the schedule released, there will be storytelling sessions with Sónia Dias, Ana Pinto, and Catarina Monteiro, a fanzine creation workshop, an autograph session with “The Cavern Band” series author Nuno Caravela, and a workshop-game with illustrator Raquel Costa.
The library’s gardens will host a children’s and young adults’ book fair, featuring various publishers, bookstores, and editorial projects like Baobá bookstore, Casa Nic e Inês, Casa Voadora, Marco Taylor, Planeta Tangerina, Livros Horizonte, Pato Lógico, Pri Ballarin and reVOAr, Prodidáctico, A Valley of Enchanted Stories.
In the atrium, the exhibition “Great Books for Little Travelers,” curated by Sara Figueiredo Costa, will showcase illustrated books from Portuguese literature, exploring the theme of travel, whether real or imagined.
The event also highlights the “Book Hospital” workshop, which teaches how to care for damaged books, and the inclusive “Braille and Ink” workshop, inviting participants to discover a book written in braille.
