A motorcycle accident resulted in one fatality and one serious injury on the A1 highway, heading north to south near Estarreja in the Aveiro district, this Sunday, according to a source from Civil Protection.
The incident, as reported by the Aveiro Regional Sub-Command, involved two motorcycles losing control at kilometers 247/250 before the Albergaria exit.
The injured person, in serious condition, was transported to Aveiro Hospital, the source indicated.
The accident occurred around 08:10, and by approximately 09:30, traffic flow remained restricted.
Seventeen personnel and seven vehicles were dispatched to the accident site.
