“Upon arrival, we detected two victims, one of whom was considered slightly injured and another, a 73-year-old woman, in cardiorespiratory arrest. Basic life support maneuvers were carried out to reverse the situation, but without success. Death was declared on-site by the medical team from the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) helicopter,” explained the commander of the Mogadouro firefighters, Luís Azevedo.
The injured person, an 80-year-old man, was transported to the Basic Emergency Service at the Mogadouro Health Center in the Bragança district.
The individuals involved in the accident are husband and wife.
The alert was raised at 15:42.
According to the official page of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC), 16 firefighters were on site, supported by six vehicles, along with the medical team from the INEM helicopter based in Macedo de Cavaleiros.
The GNR is handling the incident.
