A fire broke out in an agroforestry area predominantly covered with shrubs late Monday morning.
The Judicial Police, through the Criminal Investigation Department of Vila Real, reported that this fire “endangered a vast forest area as well as several high-value homes, which were only spared due to the rapid detection and subsequent intervention by the Murça firefighters.”
The arrested individual is set to appear for a judicial interrogation for the possible imposition of preventive measures.
