A 64-year-old man sustained serious injuries in a crash involving a motorcycle and a light commercial vehicle early Thursday afternoon in the parish of Ançã, in the municipality of Cantanhede.
“A collision between a motorcycle and a light commercial vehicle in the parish of Ançã, municipality of Cantanhede, today (09/25/2025) resulted in one serious injury,” stated the Cantanhede Volunteer Firefighters in a social media post. The alert was raised at 1:47 PM.
The accident victim was stabilized at the scene by emergency teams and subsequently transported to the Hospital of the University of Coimbra.
At the site, in addition to the Cantanhede Volunteer Firefighters, were the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM), the Coimbra Medical Emergency and Resuscitation Vehicle (VMER), and the National Republican Guard (GNR).
