
The fire entered a resolution phase at 3:57 a.m., and by around 10:10 a.m., 95 personnel supported by 27 vehicles were engaged in the aftermath work, according to the Beiras and Serra da Estrela Sub-regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection.
There have been no reports of injuries or residential issues so far, the source added.
The fire broke out at 11:00 p.m. on Friday in a bush area of Ladeira Grande, in Tortosendo, municipality of Covilhã.
Around 12:15 a.m., the incident had mobilized 56 personnel, supported by 16 vehicles.
