Following the White House meeting between Donald Trump and the Democratic leaders in Congress, Vice President JD Vance has warned that the country is heading towards a shutdown, placing the blame on the opposition.
Vance told the press that Democrats are “holding a gun to the head of the American people” with their demands to avoid a “shutdown.”
The Democratic minority leader in the Senate, Chuck Schumer, acknowledged after the meeting with Trump that there are still “significant differences” with the Republicans to prevent a shutdown before Tuesday night.
