The Territorial Command of Viana do Castelo of the GNR reported that officers responded to a domestic violence complaint, where it was found that the suspect was exerting psychological violence against the victim.
During the intervention, in the presence of the officers, the suspect hurled insults at the victim, leading to his immediate arrest, according to the GNR.
The arrested individual, who has previous records for similar offenses, appeared before the Judicial Court of Viana do Castelo and was remanded in custody.
