Do you receive benefits or pensions? Here are the payment dates for October.

Beneficiaries of Social Security support should be aware that the organization releases a monthly schedule with the anticipated payment dates. The official website features a dedicated section for payments, and the October timeline is now available.

Knowing the schedule informs recipients when social benefits will be received, aiding in better family budget planning for the upcoming month.

Payments begin on Friday, October 3, with pensions and allowances related to occupational illness, according to the calendar.

On October 7, housing support will be disbursed.

Payments for pensions, the Complemento Solidário para Idosos, the Prestação Social para a Inclusão, and the Funeral Expense Reimbursement will occur on October 8.

The schedule continues on October 16, with the first payment for Unemployment/Illness/Parenthood/Social Action, as well as Family Benefits.

Later in the month, on October 23, the Rendimento Social de Inserção will be paid. The schedule concludes on October 28 as Social Security processes the second payment for Unemployment/Illness/Parenthood/Social Action. The Caregiver Support Allowance is also paid on this date.

All payments will be made by bank transfer and postal order, except for rental support, which is exclusively paid by bank transfer.

What benefits and subsidies are you entitled to? Simulate

Social Security has launched a simulator revealing potential eligibility for social benefits or subsidies. “This is a new digital tool designed to simplify access to information about available social benefits,” explains the Instituto da Segurança Social (ISS).

A que apoios e subsídios tem direito? Segurança Social lança simulador

The new Social Security simulator enables citizens to identify, “simply and quickly, which social benefits they may be entitled to.”

“With an intuitive operation, the simulator allows citizens to quickly and simply determine potential eligibility for social benefits based on entered data, although results are not binding,” the ISS further explains.

What will you need?

The ISS states that to accurately respond to the simulator’s questions, certain information will be required, which can be consulted at the start of the process, averaging about seven minutes to complete.

“This simulator covers most Social Security benefits. Results solely depend on the data entered and are not binding,” the organization emphasizes.

Additionally, the “benefits presented in the simulation results pertain to the individual conducting the simulation and their dependents,” meaning “other family members should perform their own simulations to determine eligible benefits, such as unemployment subsidies.”

“If you reside, work, or have worked abroad, simulation results may not accurately reflect your specific situation,” it further mentions.
