Harvest and production declaration must be submitted by November 30

“The submission of the harvest and production declaration (DCP) is an obligation for all economic operators who have harvested grapes and/or produced must/wine,” stated a note from the IVV.

The submission period for these declarations starts today and extends until November 30.

The DCP is conducted through the Vineyard and Wine Information System (SIVV).

Producers must ensure their vineyard registers are updated with the vineyard plots being cultivated, which is a prerequisite for submitting the declaration.

This campaign allows grape growers to declare the quantity of grapes harvested by product and plot.

For each product, the plots of origin must be specified along with the respective quantity of grapes associated with each.

“If detailed information is unavailable, an option of automatic distribution of the harvested grapes proportionately to the area under production of the selected plots is available,” it was clarified.

In cases where grapes are sold or delivered to third parties, the grower must indicate the average price per kilogram (kg) by grape variety.

The IVV clarified that this information is confidential and will be used solely for statistical purposes.

Grape growers experiencing difficulties in submitting this declaration can seek assistance at the counters of farmers’ confederations or viticulture commissions.
