A 76-year-old woman has been missing since Tuesday in the village of Travanca, located in the municipality of Mogadouro, in the Bragança district, according to local firefighters.
The woman reportedly left her home after dinner and did not return, as stated by Luís Azevedo, the commander of the Mogadouro fire brigade.
“The elderly woman may have a cognitive disorder and could be disoriented,” explained the commander.
Search efforts are ongoing, involving local firefighters and the National Republican Guard (GNR), who are managing the incident.
According to the official page of the National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection, 21 firefighters and eight vehicles are involved in the search operation.
