
A medical rescue operation was carried out today by the crew from the Cascais Lifeboat Station after an alert at around 2:30 PM. The alert was issued by the Lisbon Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC Lisboa) for the “necessity of a medical rescue for a crew member.”
The Cascais Volunteer Firefighters were also activated for the incident, as stated in a note from the AMN.
“Upon reaching the vessel, the Lifeboat Station crew proceeded to rescue the victim to the Cascais Marina, where firefighters were waiting and promptly assisted, subsequently transporting the individual to a hospital,” the statement added.
